Boy, Elyssa! You sure have had a lot of stress on yourself
lately! It seems that when it rains, it pours. I'm glad
that your son's accident wasn't worse. I hope he didn't get
whiplash. I know how painful that can be. Keep us posted on
how he is doing.
And your daughter? As I've said before, my heart goes out to
you. I know how this must wear you out, having all of the
unanswered questions and worrying about her. I hope you get
answers soon and they find something to help her get better.
I'm hanging in there, too. I tried to get my daughter up to
go to school for her elective classes today and to attend an
online class meeting for a course she needs to graduate and
it was another "no go." I opened the shades, tickled her
feet, reminded her how she likes to see her friends, reminded
her how some people who have it worse still go to work and to
school, pulled her up to a sitting position, took away her
blanket and pillow. Still, she kept her eyes closed and was
mostly unresponsive (even though I knew she heard me) and
laid back down as soon as I let her go. I swear that I'll
throw water on her if she even *thinks* about missing any of
her doctor appointments. So far, though, she has made it to
those - but then she has only just started seeing the
psychologist and the psychiatrist.
