Out of 18 students in my class, there are only four that I deem
*normal*. Three of them are being checklisted right now, for severe
emotional/behavioural difficulties. One of them has severe mood swings;
he's happy and cooperating one minute, defiant and violent the next. I
sometimes wonder if he is bipolar. When he is unhappy, the entire class
suffers. I've just made it a point to punt him to the office when he
starts to get out of control. The other 10, well they're into
everyone's business. I have a soap opera running in my classroom every
day! Suffice it to say, the majority of kids in my class come from
single parent (mother) families.
