I slipped on some steps on my way to school. Some kids were there. I was hurt. I had a cut on my leg, yet some students laughed and no one helped me up or even got my bag for me! I felt like yelling at them but kept my composure. I went to the nurse then soldiered on through my classes. What is wrong with kids today? They talk back to adults, they make fun of me. They think I don't hear when they make comments. I raised my son to help others and to respect others.
pixie Ma Sub, I'm really sorry that happened to you. Incidents where kids are rude or oblivious to others' feelings are very discouraging. At the same time, I often have the experience of high school kids holding the door open for me in the morning, which renews my belief that there are still nice, well-mannered kids.
