MY parents met in Quito back in the late 30's( Holocaust
vacationers)--my 2 sisters were born there, and waited ten
years to make it to the states. My grandfather remained,
opened a shop, and for miles was known as "El Rubio". Oddly,
he named it Baazar Alaska on Calle Venezuela. Is anyone
around who might remember him? When is the best time to visit?
Can you recommend any places to stay? I just retired after 37
years of Crisis Counseling, and boy, could I use a vacation..
