I'm trying to put together a 10 day unit on the middle east at the kindergarten level--The activities have to be literacy based. A few books that I have checked out are: A Look at Egypt, Mummies,The Egyptian Cindrella, The Persian Cinderella--(I'll do a Venn diagram with the american cinderella and the other two)--Count your way through the Arab World, Islamic Stories..a few books abou camels.. My idea is to teach the children that people all over the world can be friends--we may believe differently, dress differently and so on-but we all can be friends...this is so important to get across in the younger years--..If you have any ideas to get me started or teaching materials that I can use or should cover-- please let me know ......Thanks for your help....
