I think your best bet is to market yourself as a couple to the same
school. salaries are low in Latin America as it is, if she gets
hired as a local hire her salary would be even lower. If she works
at a place like Berlitz while you work somewhere else you will not
have vacations or work schedules that line up. It is not good. I
think you can do ok and have fun locally and travel in Latin
America. Think of your $ obligations in your home country. Try to
go for jobs that pay all or partly in US Dollars, so that you can
count on a certain amount to send out or use internationally. You
should get housing or a housing allowance. I think it is
realistic. Just ask questions and think about what you need.
