    Re: New to Smartbaords
    Posted by M on 6/29/08

It is not recommended that you use dry erase on a Smartboard.
It is not a whiteboard...it's a very expensive interactive
device. You can write with the special pens on the surface,
you can type in text from the computer keyboard or SMARTboard
keyboard. You can convert your handwriting to type...why would
you want to use it as a whiteboard? There are many amazing
things you can do with a SMARTboard. But if you use it as a
whiteboard, over time you will damage the surface. That would
be a waste of a very expensive piece of equipment.

If you want inexpensive whiteboard, get shower board from a
hardware store. You can even have them cut it down for you.
