    Unfortunately, if you want to be a teacher in New York
    State, you'll need a few more years of college. New York
    requires at least bachelor's degree, but you would need a
    master's within a few years in order to keep your
    certification. You'll also have to pass New York State
    teaching certification exams, including the ALST, EAS, and
    the CST.

    For now, you may be able to work within the school fill
    another role. Perhaps you could apply to work as a
    teacher's aide or a substitute teacher. There are also
    terrific jobs in school offices, cafeterias, and busses.
