Posted by Thomas on 3/23/08 We are looking for a new tour company to handle our DC trip. The quality of our Worldstrides trip has consistently dropped over the past 3 or 4 years. We have managed to have a good time each year and I can not point to any particular disasters. It just seems that the quality has dropped a little year by year. Planning this trip has been my responsibility for 7 years now and Worldstrides was simply the inherited product from the past organizer. Thus far, I have spoken with sales reps from EFtours & Academic Expeditions. It looks like we will steer clear of EF, considering the abundance of "bad press" I have found on these message boards. Academic Expeditions is the other end of the spectrum. Not much out there from people who have travelled with them. They do have a website and the sales rep seemed to know his stuff. It is just so hard to know when you are being scammed sometimes. Has anyone here had an experience with Academic Expeditions? Perhaps another tour company that can offer more than Worldstrides?
