Hi,
Another idea you could try is doing a sponsored bounce. We are
trying to put up a large sand pit in the nursery playground. We
organized to do a sponsored bounce and the bounce took place
during our normal scheduled PE time in the main hall of the
school. Parents donated the use of space hoppers, small saft
trampolines, and I used space walkers and large mats for other
stepping and bouncing activities. We recruted help from parents
to monitor the bounces and count each child's bounces in the
alloted time for each task. It was a real success and some
families pledged up to a pound a bounce and we raised just under
500 pounds for our sand pit.
We are also doing a Saturday Morning fun fair for easter where
parents can drop off their children for a face paint, an animal
balloon, making of cards and hats for easter and they can have
the morning off. We are charging 4 pounds per child and they will
stay for 3 hours. We have 25 children signed up already and we
are hoping for more during the day. This will add to our existing
fund and we hope to have a new sand pit for the Summer term.
Hope a few of these ideas will be helpful to someone
