I just wanted to post an update on the free gas
fundraiser. I did a "test" run on it to see for myself
what the response would be. I wanted to share the amazing
results we had.
These certificates have been available to businesses for a
few years now and they are purchasing them up by the
1,000's. You can see 3 current circulars on my website
from national businesses that are offering these right
now.
The response that businesses get is the reason I wanted to
bring it to the fundraising scene. As a former teacher and
coach, I know the difficulties in fundraising.
Here is what we did. I had my daughter go out and raise
money for her youth group at church. The response was
overwhelming, she was averaging 3 out of 5. In 3 days (1
hour each day) she met her goal of 25 certificates. She
alone raised over $500 for her youth group.
You set your donation price yourself. We priced it low to
begin with and then increased the price towards the end.
Believe it or not, once we increased the price, we had a
much higher response like 4 out of 5.
So, for anyone wanting a new fundraising idea, this is it!
