About Read Across America....

Read Across America, initiated by the National Education Association, is calling for every child in every school in the country to read with a caring adult on March 2, 2001, Dr. Seuss's 96th birthday. Teachers.Net is joining NEA to promote this national event. Our new Read Across America mailring and chatboard are part of that effort. Sign up for now (free) for our Read Across America Mailring, then contribute regularly to the Read Across America Chatboard.

One of the goals of the new forum is to generate and share ideas about reading related events which will be conducted in schools all over the country on March 2, 2001. During March, Teachers.Net will host several authors/illustrators, and we'll give away dozens of autographed books. we're calling it, "Teachers Read, too!" Watch the Read Across America chatboard and mailring for more about these events!
