I'm looking for more information about webquests. I hear
they are fun and kids learn a ton in doing them. As one of
my final 'outcomes' for the year I was thinking my students
still haven't learned much about giving an oral
presenation. Normally, I have a class that does lots of
them but for whatever reasons: not so this year.
So, can 5th graders do webquests relatively independently
(not in groups)? Can I control the outcome or product
(such as "You will give a 3-5 minute speech)? Whenever
I've googled a particular topic to find a webquest it has
started the same: "You will ... " and typically I
see 'create a brochure' or something along those lines.
Any ideas where to start to find suitable webquests, please?
Thanks ever so much.
