I have been talking with special ed friends who have been
telling me about the new IEP system and how horrible it is.
Then my mom told me that her surgery and hospital stay after
is going to be more of a big deal than they had told her (or
she understood), so I may be with her longer. I called Human
Resources and rescinded my application. They had me call the
specific school HR person and I left a message. Hopefully she
got it. I will call again on Monday to make sure. My friend,
who I love teaching with, was disappointed but understood. I
will continue to sub as I am really enjoying that. I also
enjoy the fact that I can say no and not take a job when
called. Thanks for all of your input.
