I don't sub, have never been interested in doing it. I'm
working as a receptionist.
In the public school system in our area, the rate is $235
per day. In the private school, it is $164.
Of course, those are Canadian dollars which are worth
about 80 cents US, these days, I think.
My salary as a full-time teacher was $489 per day, based
on a school year of 194 days.
