Good morning to all- We used to sail a lot. We haven't used
our poor old sailboat for 10 years or so- just got going in
a different direction in those years- kayaking mainly.
Last weekend my wife and I took the old sailboat- after a
good cleanup which took some time- down to Navarre, Florida
where we launched the boat. We sailed wast towards
Pensacola and then anchored for the night. Fine night- not
too bumpy from waves.
Got up the next morning, made a good boat breakfast and then
sailed back to Navarre. Very nice sailing- not too much
wind, coming from a good direction for sailing, got to see
eagles and lots of porpoises being silly- rolling and
jumping in tandem- very nice- I've always liked porpoises.
Then we motored up to the dock, backed the trailer in, and
drove home- we did stop and get a great late lunch of
grilled tuna- I do love me some fresh tuna just touched to
the flame and then dropped on the plate.
Got home, unloaded the boat, and then went to bed-
I am tired this morning, but I am glad to know that the old
sailing senses still work- even if I am a bit sore from not
usual movements required from sailing.
Good day to all- Ed Mashburn
