I would venture to guess your school district would inform
TRS of your last yearly salary. The union sets the contract
rules with bargaining and if it is in agreed contract with
school district then school district would have to add this
salary increase to your retirement.
Is retirement based on final year of salary or is it a three
year average? In California it is one year final salary or
three year average salary depending on number of years of
service.
I would read the contract language. Contact district for last
three years of salary, ask district what amount they are
sending to TRS. Also TRS should have retirement tables and
you can look up what percent, years of service and sick leave
count for final retirement amount.
Good luck
