I feel for you Cici. I am in the same boat: Was supposed to
retire a year ago but can't now. Frankly, I am grateful for
the insurance now and realize I couldn't make it without that.
My husband quit working the year I started teaching (10 years
ago) and I could get half of his SS but they will redure it by
60% of my Teacher retiremnt whith is tiny already after only
10 years. Trying real hard to stay positive and be a great
teacher. I was told my retirement would be based on an avery
of the last 5 years I worked. So taking a secretary job would
really hurt me. In my district they make a little over half
of what we earn. I need an energy infusion!
