Jeannie I bet you are happy you did not have to be involved in
the latest labor contract dispute with Yuba city schools. They
apparently had to strike. The whole thing about labor disputes
is to present a powerful united force to prevent actual strikes.
They did lose 6 days of retirement service credit with no way
to make that up. Sometimes the contract agreement allows them
to do "extra" work days to make up the lost days. But not in
this case.
When these teachers retire this loss of 6 days will show up.
Glad you are retired and doing well and not having to drive
north during fog season.
