We live in a small town with an old fashioned movie theater.
The theater has a balcony. It is a non-profit theater, run
by volunteers. We get one movie at a time. Sometimes they
run it for one week and sometimes 2. It is only open on
Friday - Monday at 7:30 pm.
Since it is a non-profit it is very cheap. Balcony seats are
$6 and no one under 18 is allowed in the balcony. Floor
seats are $4.50. Drinks are $3 and a huge bucket of popcorn
is $3. My husband and I can see a movie and have popcorn and
drinks for $21.
This past week we saw The Magnificent Seven. I enjoyed it
although, at times, it was violent.
A few weeks ago we saw Ben Hur. I enjoyed that one too.
We also saw Pete's Dragon and The BFG. Although I enjoyed
them, there were times that they were slow.
Sully is coming here while we are out of town. I really
wanted to see that movie. The nearest large theater is an
hour away.
