Re: Advice on students standing during pledge?
Posted by Missing MI on 1/18/08

I believe once students are in high school they should be able to
make their own decision about saying the pledge. In the lower
grades, parents should be able to make that decision. A student
in my class does not say the pledge and I fully support and accept
his family's beliefs. I have always thought it funny being a
teacher and saying the pledge every day. How many people continue
to say the pledge once they are out of school? How many people in
the business world stand at 8:00 every morning and recite the
    pledge?
