Re: should I move to Alabama?

    You and your family will be welcomed in most Alabama cities.
    There are still a few you should avoid. (Go to
    www.greatschools.net and type in the city where you plan to
    live. Click on "student stats" and you will see the student
    demographics (race, free/reduced lunch, etc.). If you see a very
    low minority percentage, there is a reason for that; stay away
    from that school or that area. I have taught in Huntsville and
    in South Alabama. You will find prejudiced people everywhere
    (even in Canada). However, the majority of people in most towns
    here will readily accept your children. As for you, we ALWAYS
    need good special education teachers!
