I don't know what colleges are in your area, but I know that
traditionally black universities (like Alabama A & M, Alabama
State University, and Tuskgee University) offer scholarships for
underrepresented populations. Thus, if you are a white student
attending a predominantly black university, you could receive
one of these scholarships. I was offered one to Alabama State
work on my doctorate, but the 2.5 hour one-way drive was not
something I could do. Just a thought.
