    I teach 8th grade and I have paddled them zero times this year. However, I
    have managed to maintain a very disciplined environment. I just don't think
    some teachers want to be bothered to learn how to control their classrooms
    without resorting to hitting.

    How sad that you somehow equate Christianity with hitting children.
    Interesting...using the Prince of Peace's name to promote violence. It
    sounds like people who want to hit children are the anti-Christian ones.
