Re: Tucson teaching position-SEI endorsement ?

You have until 2009 to get your SEI endorsement but of course, you would
not be able to teach an SEI class. I am in Amphi and we are structuring
our school so that we have both SEI teachers and English teachers for our
language arts areas (guided reading, working with words, SSR and Writing)
but will have a homeroom for math, social studies, and science. Our
district offers its own classes for the SEI hours. I am sure they will be
offered this winter as well.
Although TUSD is closing schools, in the northwest and eastern parts of the
city and beyond (Amphi, Marana, Vail) the communities are growing and there
are jobs available.
