Just one more indication of the low value this state places on
education. And then it's the teacher's fault because kids aren't
learning--never mind the fact that we are set up for failure with
those kinds of numbers. It's ludicrous. Might not be so bad if
every student were well behaved and none had learning disabilities.
It's especially criminal in primary grades. I was interviewing for
a 3rd grade position and they were anticipating 32 per class--after
30 you get an aide for a whopping 2 hours per day. Enough to make
you sick, or the very least wish you had chosen a different
occupation. Amazing to me, that there are still people wanting to
go into the profession considering how the conditions just continue
to deteriorate.
