Post: student teacher rights
Recently a student teacher was removed from the classroom
by my principal on hearsay alone. He admits he heard or
saw nothing inappropriate from her, but he still called her
university advisor and had her escorted off campus. I was
her mentor teacher and NEVER saw anything that warranted
removal from the program. Student teaching is a learning
platform where errors and corrective action
are "acceptable."
Does anyone know if this poor girl has any recourse??????
She has not placed in a new assignment yet and risks losing
this whole semester.
