Sounds like a crier (the other teacher) to me. You have every
right to feel upset about this. That's a significant amount
of money, and anyone, OF COURSE, would want that. Yes, it
meant taking on more work, but it sounds like your principal
should have worked this out a little better, too, and thought
of the repercussions and should not have guaranteed (at least
I am assuming it was set in stone) such an opportunity unless
he/she was certain it would work out on all sides.
From what you are saying, his "conference" period is at the
end of the day, which means he is without students that much
earlier and doesn't seem to have the right perspective on the
situation, that maybe, just MAYBE, this could be a situation
that could be geared toward the betterment of the students.
Am I understanding this correctly? If I'm missing something,
so be it.
For him to start rumors and resign from committees...sounds
like tantrum city.
Hopefully my kid is not in any of his classes.
