Sounds like everyone needs to cool off and listen to each other
better. I would completely agree with Jamil. From what I understand
and saw in his first reply about this issue, he is not saying he
WOULDN'T do his duty, but that the focus is more on not wanting to
play that role, which quite frankly, teachers should not have to do.

Correct, we are NOT social workers, that's what school social workers
are for. Home visits should not be a part of a teacher's duty list,
and if it ever becomes a requirement, I would think that teacher has
the right to be accompanied by another staff member. It's incredulous
that a school district would make that an obligation of a teacher.
Completely uncalled for.
