lol that was quite entertaining with the lame comparison of sports
stars to teachers. um...hello, sports stars make more than most
anyone :::rolling eyes::::
Here are some numbers: I am in my 3rd year and make roughly $28K.
This may vary depending on districts. My district doesn't pay for
years of experience.
Cost of living varies, again, depending where you are located. I'm
in a city where I *thought* the rent would be decent because there
are a lot of low-income families but alas, I pay $650 for a run
down 2 bedroom apartment.
I would highly suggest having a job here before you move. There
are going to be more cuts for next year and last year, 1st year
teachers were on the chopping block.
