    Yes, it is.

    Considering your background and credentials, however, and your
    willingness to take on extracurricular activities, as well as
    your ability in Spanish, it should not be impossible.

    Contact the school district where you are interested in
    working, and visit their personnel offices in person.

    My experience has shown that a real live person who is
    well-mannered, educated, experienced, and most of all
    enthusiastic has far better chances than an anonymous stack of
    paper. Make yourself known to the people in HR.

    Aside from that, there's not much I can tell you. It's a
    tough game, and often a very unfair one. Keep in mind that you
    will probably have to "do time" as a substitute, aide, or in
    something other that your "dream job" before you finally land
    the one you really want.
