Hello,

I am currently looking for an Art Teacher position in CT in Hartford County or the surrounding areas. I would like to teach high school but could do any K-12. I have 4 years experience. Any advice or leads? I've applied to all the school systems in the areas and CTReap. Is the job market really bad right now?
Math Teach I'm a Math teacher, and times are tough.

During one of my interviews this past August, there were four applicants for a Long Tern Sub job that was expected to last four weeks!.

I interviewed for a position four years ago, and got the job (I was one of only two applicants for a one year contract (Maternity leave).

Jenn Times are very tough ~ more teachers get laid off than get hired most years. Unless they have an active search going right now for an art teacher most districts are only going to file your application away. However, they need art teachers! Math Teach and districts will always go > with someone less qualified with the the certification over > someone more qualified who doesn't have it.
