-No comprehensive solutions but here's one idea, for what
it's worth. When the kids come in, have a quiz on the board-
yes, EVERY day, and grade it for the next day. If they're in
control for the beginning of the class it'll be easier on you
for the last part.
Also, I've read about a DC math teacher who takes a photo
with his cell phone of out of control students and emails it
to parents. Very effective for him.
