Dear Educator:
I would like to invite you and your classes to be a part
of Theater J’s exciting 2009-2010 season. Located in NW
Washington in DC Jewish Community Center, Theater J has
emerged as one of the most distinctive, progressive and
respected Jewish theaters on the national and
international scene.
This season which includes - a coming of age classic by
Neil Simon, the story of one woman’s chronicle of the
genocide in Sudan and a hit Israeli play examining the
evolving position of women in Israeli society - provides
a great opportunity to augment your curriculum with
something educational and entertaining. We know that when
you are planning a trip you want to make sure that your
students learn while being entertained. We also know your
time is valuable and you want easy transactions and an
experience that goes beyond watching a show. Working
together, we can create a unique theater-going event for
your students.
We provide everything you need to make our productions
part of your classroom. From study guides to in-class
discussions, we can help supply the context before and
after your visit. In addition, we can tailor further
programs to suit your classroom needs.
We hope that you will put one or more of our programs into
your yearly planning. Student group tickets (35 and under)
are always 50% off the regular price!
Be sure to look through all of the shows listed at the
bottom of this email to discover more about our great
season and about how we can make sure that your trip to
Theater J is your class’s favorite event of the year!
I look forward to speaking with you,
Becky

with the legendary director who named names before
Congress?

is simultaneously comic and poignant.
Featuring Holly Twyford and Tana Hicken.
