I do teach at one of those schools. A teacher that is not a strong
teacher is unable to survive, let alone teach, at our school. No, we don't
solve the problems. Yes, we do teach the children. The better the
teacher's skills, the better the job done.

Are you suggesting that the children of these populations should just be
pushed aside as being unable to be taught. If a strong teacher is willing
to teach at such schools, good. And guess what, once you invest in this
type of an environment, you believe in what you do.

Some places, not here, pay a big bonus to the teachers in difficult
schools. Perhaps that would be a solution to "your" problem...

It would be nice not to write off these children born into these
situations. And guess what, the teacher across the hall from me was once
upon a time one of "these children"...guess some make it, huh?
