Of course not. I'm suggesting that teachers should teach where they are
comfortable. If I had to move to 6th grade, I'd die. It's not for me. I
wouldn't do well there. I don't think districts should move teachers
anywhere they feel like because some of us are best in certain situations.
I've taught difficult populations. I know how hard it is. Some teachers are
born for it. Some aren't. Pretending that anyone can handle these
populations is dangerous to the teacher's career and not in the best
interests of the children IMO. It is not good for these students to have a
teacher who does not want to be there.
