Try turning your resume into a brochure or put the information on a
DISC, and give them to potential employers. It will show computer
skills. DISCS can be bouoght for less than #2.00 and you can burn your
own copies. Email resumes to district recruitors. Register and post
your resume on teachinflorida.com., the national web sites of
sorities, or educational organizations. New Orleans is going all
charter school, but would be a good place to start. Try the Dept. of
Defense School systems. Try the prison systems. They are 12 month jobs
for really bad pay ($25,000 to $32,0000, but it could lead to a job at
a federal prison. They are gold mines for pay and benefits.

Take certification by exam test before 9/1/09. The fee for each test
is going up from $75.00 to $200.00. Try taking 3-4 four subect area
exams like Math 5-9, General Science 5th-9th, Middle Grades
Integrated, and ESE or Reading. You can take them on the computer and
find out if you passed them right there. Then, you can retake them in
30 days. The fee is the same until 9/1/09, at which time the fee for
retaking an exam goes up to $220.00 instead of the first time $200.00.
