I guess i should be offended, but... i found your post to be
hilarious! thanks for the good laugh.
i feel grumpy like that sometimes. like today -- i needed a sub
to cover my classes (HS math) while i was away for staff
development. I came in after my seminar to see how my students
did, and lo and behold i discover my sub let them do ABSOLUTELY
NOTHING ALL DAY. Why?... because my brain-dead sub couldn't read
my explicit written-for-a-3rd-grader instructions!
believe me, i understand "miserable" (texas is no cake walk). I
have been teaching in TX for a while now, but never taught in FL.
i frequent the FL site because i will be moving back to Tampa
next year -- so i am trying to get acquainted with the issues
there.
