My husband and I are thinking about moving to Fl this summer. I currently teach Kindergarten in Ohio, but he is active duty military and getting ready to retire so we are looking for somewhere to start over. He is trying to get a JROTC job in the Tampa area and I want to know what teaching is like in this area. Are there jobs available? What's the pay like, etc? I currently work for a charter school so I already get paid next to nothing. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

sp I moved here two years ago from up north. I too, love to teach & thought I'd be happy anywhere as long as I'm teaching. I still love the weather down here, but I hate teaching down here. If you want to retire down here, by all means do it. The weather is great. Teaching, on the other hand, is a nightmare.
