I recently received an offer to teach in Florida which I am very excited about. However, I am realizing that the cost of living is very expensive there. I also applied in Atlanta but haven't received any call backs. I have however interviewed for various secretarial jobs some of which sound promising and pay the same as a teacher . Do I move to Atlanta where cost of living is much cheaper Or Florida.
elective You need to be more specific by listing the city/county in FL where you received the offer. The cost of living in Jacksonville, Pensacola, or a rural area is completely different than living in Miami, Palm Beach or Naples.

Debbie-FL is not teacher friendly ! You will have an annual contract & with no chance of ever getting a PSC! Starting in 2014, you pay will based on your VAM scores. Three years of unsatisfactory ratings, which are based on 50% of student test scores, you will be let go.

PBX As long as school systems can be sued and people are in fear of their positions, there will be more Rachel Jeantel's produced by the system.
