I am seriously considering making the switch to teaching. I have worked as a lawyer for over 6 years and have been thinking about switching to teaching for over 2 years. I have experience tutoring, but it was from a long time ago. I have applied to fldoe for my statement of eligibility and I am going to sign up for a certification course. I have applied to substitute teaching positions but I am wondering what else I should do while waiting for my temporary certificate. I am not sure if my undergraduate and law school credits will help me meet subject area requirements. What steps should I take to get a teaching job? I am interested in teaching middle grades science (I was an astrophysics major before switching to pre-law)
