Is anyone else out there as disillusioned as I am with teaching today?

YES Yep, I am. I want to quit so much but feel guilty when I think about the people that don't have jobs. I think I will quit eventually but I have to get my exit strategy planned well.

SpEd Teach I was. In fact, I quit and couldn't find another job making enough money. Actually, I couldn't find a job doing much of anything because I was "over qualified" for any job that was available. This and That I also teach self-contained special education. I have always taught preschool special education. It really has changed through the years. Now I am counting the days until I retire in 6 years. I feel it is time for a us to pass the torch to a new generation of educators.
