Moving from NC 2 Ga IN 2016

I'M really thinking about moving to from my terrible state of North Carolina to Ga. For some of you who don't know NC is ranked dead last as far as teacher salary and being mistreated. I done my research on Georgia and have heard good things about the school districts in some areas. Oh I teach in CMS the largest school district in the state.

I'm thinking of moving to the following counties to teach in, can you guys please just give me a vote of why I should teach in this school district over the other please....

Fulton county schools Cobb county schools Clayton county schools Gwinnett County schools

Jeckbowl Clayton is a huge no!!! Research the county. You will see
Clayton on the news for 1/2 of the broadcast...all bad!

Big changes coming to GA in the next year or so. You need to think twice about that move because GA is working to do away with the base salary schedule. Many districts have decided to become charter or IE2 school districts which allows them to set their own pay schedule. Also you will not have due process in these districts if you are terminated which can happen even to the best teachers in struggle schools (pay for performance). If you have an advance degree, you may also not get paid for that. I am currently working in GA, but planning on moving back to a state that pays less. I am returning for the job security and state salary pay schedule that is still in place. The grass is not greener in GA. Also your retirement choices for a new teacher are a joke.
