    Kamaaina, what point are you trying to make by throwing in
    Japanese and the culture? Perhaps, it is your poor foresight that
    was the cause for experience teaching in Hawaii. Race and identity
    has nothing to do with teaching or learning. Unfortunately, it is
    evident that we all have a long ways to go in terms of maturing as
    citizens. It's no wonder that democratic values continue to
    depreciate in our nation.
