    Haole is reserved for whites. In Hawaii the system is run by the
    Japanese and they openly practice institutionalized discrimination. If
    your up for the fight, the state could use dedicated educators like
    your husband. As for the Special Education system here, they are inept
    and will retaliate against fine educators who do their job because it
    makes these incompetant frauds look bad. I wish I could tell you
    something encouraging, but after 7 years of fighting this system here,
    the only hope that remains are outside educators who are willing to
    take on the system. Good luck.
