I've been teaching in a catholic school for 15 years here in
Northern California. I make 47K a year with full benefits. It's
not bad, my husband has a private sector job that pays a lot, so
    we do fine.
I look at it as "working for God". I'm blessed to be at a great
school with great families and very few issues, crime, etc.
