If you're middle school, you also might ask for the names of
your team members, who can clue you into any team policies they
will want you to carry on.

I'm not sure if its law, but its pretty common. However, the
programs go from nearly nothing to very comprehensive.
Our mentors and mentees receive a

Thats much more than my district offers. Mentors get CPDUs
towards renewal of their certificates. Mentees get grad credit
but its not that much. Usually the department heads are mentors
unless we have a large number of new teachers, then it gets
spread out. No stipend might be why our Mentor program doesn't
seem very useful to new teachers.
