I looked at our county's job listings (DeKalb County), and I was
amazed at how few there were. Most were coaching positions and
substitute positions for classified workers. I know that in our
district, we didn't have any openings but one, and it was for an
additional p.e. teacher. In this economy, I really think that people
are hanging on to their jobs, even if they are unhappy. Check out this
site. There really aren't a lot of jobs, but you may find something
outside of northern Illinois. Good luck. Karen
