A lot want Bilingual, but will still hire ESL because they can't
find someone who speaks Spanish who is qualified.
And, there are districts down by O'Hare that have pretty large,
strong ELL programs because they have immigrants from all over the
world. Huh, I don't know if its because it's by O'Hare and they
just leave the airport and find a place to live nearby where they
land, or some other reason... I've never thought of that before. A
good Sociology research topic.
In any event, you'll find a job. You could just about write your
own ticket if you had a regular teaching certificate and Bilingual
Spanish, but you'll still find a job with ELL.
