I wouldn't worry about it. There's no need to bring it up.
I've never been asked about my freshman year of undergrad. the
fact that you turned it around, graduated, and then did well
in a graduate program says much more about you than one bad
year as an adolescent. Just include where your degree is from
on your resume. If they really want to go through and comb
your transcript but no one ever really does and even then,
they can't really take action unless you lie. Don't lie, but
there's no need to tell them every detail of the whole truth.
If it ends up coming out, spin it and show how it was a
learning experience. Teachers tend to love underdogs and
turnaround stories.
